    New ATI drivers.

    ATI just released new drivers woohoo going to do some testing tonight.

    woot

    indeed they have - they seem to have jumped 5 major versions in fact.

    (going from my 3.16.2 to 8.8.25)

    not only that but they include support for X.org 6.8 as well as older xfree86
    ( I guess all it really needed to change was some scripting - I never noticed problems running on X.org)

    but anyway cool

    Don't forget, they FINALLY have support for x86_64 configurations.

    I probably won't worry about upgrading. Got a workstation in the books here and I'm going with 3D Labs this time.

    how do i figure out what version of X i have so i can get the right driver from at??

    Download the Check.sh file on their driver page and run it.

    thanks enygma sometime i get to the habbit of asking really dumb questions even when the answers are right there in front of me or provided for me as plain as day. I apologise to all the people that looked at my question and said "duh, they povided the tool for that"
