    Editing-To-GamePlay Question

Newbie here... In UnrealEd, I've added a description, ScreenShot, and Player Specs (MIN and Max #) in the level properties to a new map that I've created. However, when loading the game in UT2004, when I select my map, no preview (Screen Shot) is available, no description and the player specs are wong. Am I forgetting to do something or just doing something wrong? Any Ideas?

Delete the .ucl file for your map in the System folder of your UT directory. It should be the nameof your map + .ucl. It is a cahce file that keeps some of this info.

I think one of the patches addressed that same problem.

I also had this one and it was because I had a space in the level file name

I deleted the .ucl file and that worked. Thanks!

    ScreenShot

    Total newb here.

How did you get the screen shot? Did you have to do it manually while paying the level, or does UED provide a method for aquiring the preview shot?

Do it in game. Turn off your HUD, hide your weapon, hit alt+enter to enter windowed mode, type "setres 512x256" in the console, and use the "fly" or "god" command to get a shot you like. There is some more info available here.

You can also use print screen key (way up there to the right of F12) while in game play... again hide your weapons and HUD. Then open a photo editor, paint will do, and paste and save as a bitmap. 512x256 works well

I am used to the PrintScreen method, for taking screenshots for apps and OS problems at work. I just didn't know if UT porvided a way to do it, or if one was preferred over the other.

Either way, I greatly appreciate the help.
