    Just got a new b-day preasent! :D

Finally, after years of suffering through a measly 15 inch monitor with 1024x768 res, i've got a new monitor. Samsung SyncMaster 997df 19inch monitor. It's crazy the difference it makes. I can see the entire sidebar on 3dbuzz without having to scroll. Can't wait to try some hl2 level making with this bad boy. Just out of curiosity, what res are you guys running. I've found 1600x1200 to be pretty comfortable, but it goes all the way up to 2048x1536. This just makes everything a bit too small.

I love my 19in monitor but I am happy with just 1152x864. Anything bigger than that and stuff seems too small.

Nice present though (and happy birthday)

Happy Birthday, both of us, Gooms9. Did you know 8 Jan is also Elvis's birthday? Nice present. I'm still stuck with my old 17 inch. I need to upgrade. I MUST run at a huge resolution - I love 1280x1024, but I only get 60hertz with that resolution and it sucks. Sigh.

Re: Just got a new b-day preasent! :D

I just got the same monitor for xmas comming from a 15 inch. I first got a $600 lcd, but the ghosting was terrible so I got this for $200 and I'm MUCH more happy, (at -$400, so were my parents. ) even though It's big and I get one less viewable inch.

1600x1200 here as well. It's pretty nice to be at this res with a refresh rate of 72 since I was used to having the res at 1280x1024 with a refresh rate of 60 on my old monitor.

Yeah, a big monitor makes working so much easier... and it's just more fun.

I'm on a Iiyama HM204DT 22" here - It's a CRT, but I love it. Really. Every morning, when I stand up, I hug my monitor. It's just great.

I used to work with a Belinea 17" monitor... Ouch, never looked back!
