    beginning my person

    here is the head and top of the shoulders. i am still going to work on it some more; the nose looks like it sticks out to far to me and i have to add detail to the mouth. but here it is

    it was made in Silo so i couldnt render so it isjust a screenshot

    Good start. I think you might want to increase the size of the forehead a little. The eyes on a human head are closer to the center of the face when viewed from the front, so I think you need a little more head above the eyeline.

    Would like to see a three quarter view when you get a chance.
    I only started playing with Silo - pretty cool program.

    here is one from the front (never noticed how wierd and disformed it looked till i saw it from the front, i have a long way to go before i make anything look almost kinda real)

    edit:: i think i need to make his jaw thinner his head is shapped like a pear now lol

    Getting better. I think you need to bring the eyes closer together, and perhaps make them a little bigger. Get some research on lips.

    By the way, are you using good reference drawings?

    might be my problem right there i dont really use reference drawings. i just dont really like it. i do use for pictures of the eyes individually and am going to use for mouth and ears. ill adjust the eyes too

    here is a little work on the eyes. i made them slightly bigger and closer. i must say that was an awsome suggestion. that seemed to help the look alot, atleast in my eyes

    Three words - Use reference drawings. Modeling goes a lot faster and you get better results. Faster modeling means more time to do more modeling which leads to becoming a better moder.
