    next project...

    hello... i was just wondering if any of you guys had any sugestions on my next project (in c++, with or wihout using the .net framework)... im fresh outa idias.... thanks!

    no... i have done a lot of mfc and .net stuff. no wxWidgets...

    have you ever made a game before???

    maybe you could make a
    character generator
    item genarator (for a game)
    make a MUD (multi user dungeon)
    or a map editor
    or a 3dgame level editor

    what all things have you made exactly

    iv done no graphic apis... directx makes no sence at all... and iv done a text adventure game... iv done 'hang in there' in mfc, .net, console, and in javascript ... i have a cd-key maneger using the .net (store cd-keys & print them)... iv done some mfc mysql intergration... and tic-tac-toe with an ai, and it also ecepts mouse input... that is about all the 'projects' iv done... (al the rest is just stuff iv done off of tuts...)

    if you want to learn graphics go to gamedev.net
    try code on the cob and Game Programming Genesis they are good tutorials
    and try wxWidgets it is way easier than windows programming(for gui stuff)

    but i know wxWidgets better than i know graphics api stuff

    (i ordered buzzes c++ vtm's )

    hello. thanks for the tuts! awsome stuff, and it finaly makes a LOT more sence ! i have a questions tho... iv finished the first tut, and here is my source:

    game prog tut error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol _main referenced in function _mainCRTStartup

    for some resen, it still wants a
    int main()
    ! do you know how to fix this? thanks

    did you make an windows application or an console application????


    for this tut you need to start an windows application

    if you are using there workspace just start a brand new one
