Now this is awsome. OpenExr support should kick ass. I had to write a paper about that format for university, and during my research i fell more and more in love with this image-format. It's truly amazing.
Compositor in Essential? Another great thing!
And Behavior in Advanced! That's just shocking! I wish buzz would do some Behavior Tuts
This application is getting better and better.

    happy xsi'ing,

That wouldn't be a very good path.

One thing is, that it's now also available for Linux and another one is the implementation of the new GPUSurfaceFX2 to create normal maps for instance. There are probably more new features for Foundation available, but i didn't read through the whole New Feature guide yet.

Yeah there isnt TOO much for foundations considering the huge upgrades essentials and advanced got. But foundation did get a linux port (yay) and proper film character rigs, all the new shaders, bugfixes, openEXR, etc etc.

    Hi Chinny,
is it possible that you're "THE" Chinny from Softimage? If so, it's nice to see you here on the boards. Allways good to get some insider feedback. I see that you only got two post so far, but both in the xsi forum. hmm....

Whether or not you're "THE" chinny.... welcome to 3dbuzz!

    cheers,

Well if it is, that's a very good spot Daniel and would be great to see someone from Softimage around here.

One other thing about this update, it looks pretty big to me, especially for a point release. Not only only are softimage offering a great package, they are really listening to customers.

Hey Daniel, what version do you have? Just asking as i downloaded Behaviour but i just can't get it to connect to the licencing server. I read others are having problems too.
