    Blob monster WIP

Hi, my girlfriend and I are working on a short 3d animation for a 30 second leader for an animation festival (school assignment). And here is a monster Blob I've started modeling.

He's supposed to be stupid, a little bit scary.... its a monster.
And he should be funny. I'm still working on the mouth area figuring out how to rig the mouth, cause I'm a beginner at this area.
He has a very big mouth, and he likes to eat. Think of Cookie Monster.

What do u think ppl? Are the hands and feet okay? Or do you have other sugs?
    Is this character riggable?

    Here are some wires.

it looks great. How did you get it to render the wireframe junk and stuff? I'm only using maya PLE, but the full version is coming soon
    Yay for crazy people!

Looks pretty nice to me, sort of a funny scary cartoon monster feel. And since it looks like you smoothed it (meshsmooth? are you using Max?) you should have no problem rigging it. Now if you could just get him to a dentist for that underbite...

    Keep at it!

Oh, and I assume that you did screencaptures of the viewports for your wireframe...so there you go, Insanitywalks!

Thanks for the replies, I used Maya 6 to model this one.
Hehe, maybe make the butt smaller.
I'm gonna work on the hands cause I don't like this version of them. I think I gonna make a new hand with rounder fingers to make him more funny.
What do you think of the feet, should he have 3 toes or 2? I don't want him to look like a bird.

Yep, I'm gonna give him gums and more teeth.

Great toon character. Like the pointy butt and big undderbite.
I think you should make his hands and feet, bigger. You need a balance to the big mouth. Take a look at the Warner Bros Animal character.. oh, and some ears or horns or something on the head to put some detail were you will be seeing him the most!
    Have a better one..

New hands looks great. First design was good but this one has a more cartoonish feel. Still could be a lot bigger though. Like half the size of his/hers/its head or so. Big enough to keep up at stuffing the mouth..
Like the overall design alot. Has a good agressiveness to it.
    Have a better one..
