    Reading DVD problem

    I live in the UK
I have recently acquired a set of Total Training DVDs for Premiere Pro from the US (eBay).

Whenever I attempt to play a video from the DVD I receive error number 8004027D "Copy Protection Cannot be enabled - Please make sure no other copy protected content is being shown."

There is no mention of zones on the cases, so it might not be a zone issue.

    My OS is XP Pro

    Any ideas please
Thanks in advance for any help on this question

If you have a graphics card that has TV-out enabled try disabling it.

If it is a region problem you could try this.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

    DVD Region-Free 2.1
DVD Region-Free enables you to watch all region DVDs on region-locked DVD drive. Even if you can't change the DVD drive's region anymore, DVD Region-Free still works.

DVD Region-Free also disables region check for popular software-based DVD players such as PowerDVD, WinDVD, ATI DVD Player, DirectDVD, NVDVD, CinePlayer, Windows Media Player, PCFriendly Player, InterActual Player and TheaterTek DVD.

Other features include Region-Free for RCE DVDs, Macrovision-Free, Operation-Free, Direct-Play main title, and run self at DVD players startup automatically.

Thanks Spendi for all your input
I tried DVD Region-Free but it didn't make any difference.
If it is the NTSC/PAL issue, why can I play other DVDs from Alias Wavefront, 3D Buzz and Sony?

are those dvd's also from Total Training?

if so then you got some bad discs

but if not then it has something to do with the way Total Training has the dvd's pressed

another thing to consider is since you purchased them from eBay instead of directly from www.totaltraining.com i am gonna hazzard a guess and say they aren't legit (as in really Total Training product) and you got swindled

The only other thing that I can suggest is trying them on a friends PC to see if the same problem exists.

    AFTER THOUGHT.
Check that your DVD Player Supports the type of DVD

e.g. + or - or even dual layer
