    Talking New map yay!

    Yay I'm back, I've been gone for awhile, anyways decided to get back to mapping and I have a screenshot for a level im making. Im still very nobish to UTED, anyways here it is

    I know..Im sorry, got any tips to make it decorated with static mesh? I'm really bad with placement?, the only other room is a wierd red slim room, I need to work it more

    i know the problem you are facing. I have the same thing with my current map. I always find it hard to find the right meshes to use but thanks to TheVillageIdiot I now have more direction!

    The key is building by theme.

    static meshes are so hard to get right. i end up with full bsp normally

    still working on that, the dumb thing forze up on me while I was making Static Meshes

    Nothing wrong with that. It's better to have a cohesive design that uses all BSP than to have a map with random static meshes in it.

    yeah i second that.

    UT99 totally kicks-@$$ and is still one of my favorite games.
    and i agree that using the StaticMeshes that come with the game can be a pain, but the flip-side is that if you can make them work they'll save you a lot of time making your own.
