    car modeling tutorial

hey guys, im usually the one helping people, so its a little odd to be asking for help. but I really am having a little difficulty finding something on the internet, and I was hoping one of you would help me out.

The problem I am having is that I am looking for a very poipular tutorial for one of my students, and it seems to have disapeared off the entire internet...hehehe. The tutorial is a NURBs car (Porsche) modeling tutorial originally posted on "cgtalk", by a man who goes by "TheShaddix". It also included and XSI tutorial on a Mercedes. This is the original thread:

    http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.ph...15&pagenumber=1

Since all the links are broken, there is no way for me to get to the tutorial. So if anyone knows where it is now, or if it is backed up on someones computer somewhere, please reply to me and let me know. I would really appreciate it. thanks a lot really.

    goodluck.

You posted a messed up link, it has ... in it, meaning somehow it got trunctrated.. Either by the boards here, or some other odd copy/paste error. Do you have the complete link?

If you do, you can try passing it through the waybackmachine at http://www.archive.org - you might get lucky. Also try the links mentioned in the cgtalk thread, if you can access it.

Well I looked around cgtalk using search but failed to find it.. did find this one though, which seems really nice:

Edit: Heh, kinda funny. Seems this bloke is using the exact same method I used when I modelled my first and only car a couple months back.. Always nice to get that kind of confirmation

If you go to his homepage and skip the intro it will take you to these forums:

    http://www.maddgame.com/forum/

Try joining and posting there to see if you get any replies to contact him with. It looks like the only page on his site is the homepage. So, that would explain why the tutorials are all missing as well.

Hey guys once again thanks for the replies, I am trying all the things u suggested. As for pezz, man take it easy, I tried going to that archive site, it didnt really work. As for the link i know its broken, sorry, I just dont have the time to go back and find it. However everyone else can find it, so if ur having trouble finding, search google with these keywords: "maya car porsche tutorial"

ill keep u guys updated if i find something.

PS: that other car nurbs tutorial is great thanks a lot.

    goodluck
