    Skeletor Project

After seeing my picture published in Elemental, it gave me a boost of self-confidence. Now I am excited and I decided to start a new project:

Skeletor from Masters of the Universe

    1. I will model, texture and rig a detailed model of Skeletor.
    2. I plan on making this fairly high poly...I will try to add as much detail as my comp can handle
    3. Doing this for myself as I tend to rely too much on textures and I love looking at the high poly meshes on other forums.

    nuf said.

Any comments, questions, critiques etc will be appreciated

Here is the reference for Skelly

Ok...now I started the skulll...looking at anatomy books and my character. It took me a few drawings to really understand how the skull was put together.

It is still rather wonky because I am not using image planes for the head....I will use them for the body proportions though.

I plan on going through in stages....get all of the basic mesh down so it is recognizable...then, go back and start detailing up the wazoo.

    Here is a skull render

The latest render looks great. What could be better than modeling my nostalgia, can't wait to see the rest!

What program are you using for this?

It's really coming along nicely. Althoug the skull seems a little pulpy, almost like clay. I can't really tell from your ref picture how close your model is. But keep up the work.

That is a nasty looking skull. And I mean that in a good way. =)
