    Panel commnds?

    i am trying to create a script that will create a new top, front and side view for my second monitor. i have the creating part but need the script to move and resize them. anyone know what commands i can use??

    Looks like the main layout is controlled by the window size, but as far as resizing individual panels, it doesn't look like that's exposed through mel, so you may just have to create your window at a specific location and then resize your panels by hand. . .the actual panel commands (panel, modelPanel, etc) don't appear to hold position and size info. . .

    Why don't you just use View panel menu>Panel>Tear Off Copy

    im trying to automate teh process so each time i start i press a button and its all done

    how would i move them to the right position tho??

    I don't have the time and 2 monitors to check if this will work, but you can try:
    Window>Preferences>UI Elements>Panel Configurations, Starting New Scene>Keep current layout.
