    why are you using php for something like this? are you just learning it and want to try it out...or are u trying to reduce pages?

    You don't need to use PHP for a standard serverside include.

    You can simply use the line of code: <!-- #include ***** -->

    the ***** being your filename... That way whatever is in the file, is 'pasted' into the page as the browser is reading the code and displaying it... but you dont need to use PHP.

    Hope that helps.

    EDIT - you can use this code in a standard HTML file, anywhere in the code and you dont need to enter any scripting tags or anything like that.

    thanks for the info although my host dosnt support ssi, do you know of any good free ssi providers?
