What game started it all for you?

They say that you always remember your first time

So what was the game that got you hooked for the first time.

I was working in Germany (nuclear research center) and I was addicted to the first Wolfenstein Game (was Id by then). It was on a work PC ... so I used to get in early to have a quick game, and then 'work' late to continue my progress.

I remember spending hours trying to find all the secret passages that were hidden in each level.

For me it was Space Quest 2.... I had games before (the ones that pop to mind are Test Drive and Arcticfox) but that was the game that introduced me to what is still my main love in computer gaming: adventure games...
"If you put together all the work I did on "Shrek", I would say I have spent more time promoting it in the last three days than I did actually working on it... When you compare that to the amount of work that the animators and producers put into it, I’m embarrassed to get all the attention and praise for it." - JOHN LITHGOW

Does anyone remember the Jazz Jackrabbit game. I spent hours playing it on an old 368 all to find out that is was shareware and I needed to buy the 5 other episodes to complete the game.

Then there was Scorch, the multiplayer tank game where you bought weapons like the "funky bomb" or "miny nuke" to defeat your opponents.

The old Microprose game called Master of Magic, days and I mean days, playing that one.

    great times!

'Grog's Revenge' on the Commodore 64.

Doesn't look up to much now, but at the time it was superb.
    Great gameplay and fantastic graphics.
The hours I spent playing that.

Of course, it was quite a while ago.
