    Talking my character ain't human

ok...this is my first post in 3d Buzz...so be gentle guys. actualy i'm excited. it has been such a wild ride for me. its my first concentrated attempt to model a character...so the mesh (topoly) is really messy. and a lot of firsts for me

its actualy an entry in some challenge in some forum. i'm not sure if i can finish it on time...but i want what you guys have to say.

-its done in Maya 4.5 all polys

-i'm not sure about total number of hours...its an "on and off" work ( only have my spare time to do it...late at night after work. but i've been working on it for 2 weeks now...

    That is nice.
Mind if I ask to have a look at the topology anyway?

    That's looking really good frayo!
It might be nice to see some more detail on his trouser. You could consider adding (side) pockets or a zipper, that sort of thing. That's really up to you though, if you want your characters clothes to have those kind of details.
-Very nice model, good luck with the competition

Hmm.. there doesn't look to be all that much wrong with the topology to my eyes. The only thing I can think of is that the horns aren't attached.. which might cause a little bit of a problem when you rig your character. Otherwise it looks fine to me.
EDIT actually.. his wedgie is perhaps too severe.. ie, his bottom doesn't really look like he's wearing trousers.

    Heya!

This is truely an inspiration. I'm seeing more and more GREAT stuff coming out of beginners than I've EVER seen before. Congratulations on a great model!

Topology looks good, and yeah, the spikes not being connected might cause a bit of a problemo when rigging him up. But DAYUMMM! Great job!
