Ok..I Wanna New Site! Caffeine...Lock and Load Baby! Lock and Load!

Ok flash xperts! I've looked and I've looked and I've huffed and puffed..and I still can't figure out how to do this...so don't laugh and if you do.....well..don't wet yourself.

*I'm just learning the basics and feel comfortable with the tools and animations. I'm also okay with basic action script. This is what I need to do:

    A) When I open my new and improved site...I want a window to pop up noticeably smaller than the original browser window..which will just have my site name and a black background.

Within this window I want to create my navigation system with a looping animation centered within the window. I think I have a handle on the looping animation and the buttons etc...What I can't figure out for the life of me is how the @T$@ to make this window pop up and load my animation and navigation system into it.

Any help will be rewarded with good karma and when I'm rich and famous...I promise to remember my friends...my word !

    Thanks!

check the post about changing window sizes. This is what I found about opening a new window. It uses Javascript.

You can then create your navigation system, and then create some action scripts to jump to either other places on your timeline, or other scenes.

I'm working on a prototype right now.

It's not fully functional, but you can play with it for almost a couple of seconds.

    Here it is:

    http://m25yucka.tripod.com/Fl_GDaddy.html

It won't open into a different window, because I haven't set that up yet.

If you want to see the code for opening a new window, you can check out my animation page. The last link is a Flash animation I did for my Animation class. It is called Kate's Big Adventure. Here is the link. Feel free to browse through the HTML to find the Javascript you need.

    Gracias!

I'll check out the post on changing window sizes and let you know what I found. The code on your site isn't exactly what I was looking for. I'll keep hunting for it...I"m sure it's in a tut. somewhere out there.

    By the way...... BOOM BABY!

HA!!! I love that *movie* (Emperor's New Groove) if that's where you're gettin' it from. I must have watched that thing 2.4 million times with my little girl. I've got most of it memorized..

    Ha..

Thanks again and good luck with your 3D...
