    Mastering Unreal Technology - Volume I will be out just after Christmas. Volume II should be out a couple months later.

    The books will cover just about everything you could possibly imagine dealing with unreal technology.

    They should be REALLY nice... each running 1000+ pages and containing DVDs with some VERY cool stuff I'm no allowed to say what yet

    Let's just say that Epic is REALLY thinking about the mod makers.

    Well they should have done so sooner.
    If they had released books when Unreal 1 came out, the community would have been a lot bigger.

    But better late then never

    Is that a beginner book? Or also more advanced?
    Cos I don't really need a beginner book

    It'll work well for beginners - advanced users. We are trying to cram every possible thing you can imagine into these books all the way through to the point where you create a completely new game type.
