    Plasma Generator Kit Question

I saw a plasma generator kit being used on The Screen Savers wednesday and now I want one. But what power supply should I use if I get a kit. According to here I can use a 6 - 16 VDC adapter, but according to here I need a 14 VAC adapter.

    Please help. I'm confused.

But I don't want to make a lightsaber... yet... all I want to do is turn a light bulb into a plasma ball thing like they did on The Screen Savers. I have all ways wanted to try something with electricity. Maybe trying to do that with a plasma generator can be a start.

Can a plasma ball be considered an enclosed Tesla Coil?

Maybe If I am successful with that, I can try something with a Van Goah Generator. I could get my chemistry teacher to help.

Its Van de Graaff Generator (accelerator) not Van Goah Generator. You should get your physics teacher to help. They would probably know more about the physiscs of it than a chemistry teacher.
