Maya Advanced Modeling Murcielago in Blender 2.8

I started working on the Murcielago. It is slow going at first working with NURBS curves in Blender, but I'm getting the hang of it and speed is picking up. Right now I'm about half way through the second video constructing the curbs network. Given that this project has 70 videos, it may take me a while. I will try to work faster tho

Only two more videos laying out the curve network, then I can start creating the poly mesh.

I wouldnt even bother with using nurbs curves in Blender they are a major pain in the arse.
I would make a polyline and then convert it to curves.

I'm actually going to convert the curves to poly edges once I'm done. You can't snap to NURBS curves in Blendter, but you can snap to edges.

yeah not snapping to curves is something that has been needed for a very long time.
The whole nurbs system needs a full rewrite. It could be so much better.

NURBS are probably not a priority for Blender development these days. I would imagine most Blender users have long moved on to subdivision modeling and sculpting.

Finally had a chance to get some work done on this.

Finally finished creating the curve network. With the holidays and an 18 month old, I don't have the time I would like to spend on this. But I'm determined to see it through to the end.
