    First animation made with Blender

    Hi guys,

This is my first animation made with blender and octane render.

It's simple, cartoony and for children.

Rendered it on 2 GPU, GTX Titan and 980, 3720 frames, 10 seconds per frame, full HD.

I used the Direct Lighting kernel.

Please let me know what you think.
    Thank you

    That was pretty cute!

My critiques would be a slightly less shiny ground, and start the expanding of the letter more centered.

I agree with the shiny ground, make it less shiny. It's supposed to be grass, it's generally not that shiny. Also agreed with the expanding letters should be more in the center though some shots are fine if they are not.

The letters are a bit distracting, their material doesn't make any sense to me. Everything in the animation is colorful and bright with solid materials, but the letters are some kind of a bit transparent black plastic. I would love to have seen them also colorful like the rest of the set.

One last little detail I picked up on (this is optional), the hot air balloon at 2.06 is completely static, would be cute to have it wobble a bit and have a slight little animation on it. Or just have it float a bit across the screen (with slight up and down motion).

But a nice little animation otherwise.
    Cheers!

    Guys,

Many thanks for your feedback. It does make lots of sense. Because of the render times, I will probably not change this video but I will keep your remarks in mind for a future project.

My last project was to work on a guitar learning software.
I learnt tons of programming back in the days with Buzz and Logan in the XNA 101 class.
    I miss those years... ;o)

Thanks again for the feedback. I really appreciate.
