Where to find an artist/illustrator?

I've written a 12 page children's book that I'd like to publish as an android app. What I need now is an artist to create some images for each page. Any suggestions on where I can find someone?

Well you could go to a site that displays artist work, like Deviant Art, and view a lot of different artist, and contact the ones that you like to see if they are interested and able. I am assuming you mean to pay them and not ask them to do it for free. You should research the going rate for an artist to do a page for you. If you can't match that, then you will have to find a lesser skilled artist to do it on the cheap. But you will get what you pay for.

On Deviant Art, a lot of artist will say if they are excepting commission work at present. Also check other sites like Tumbler and Facebook. There are many many different sites out there that display artist work.
