    Exclamation How to Insert your images!

    Sense lots of people seem to be having trouble figuring out how to do this, I thought I should make a tutorial on how you go about Inserting an image.

    1: When you are making a post you may need to click on the "go advanced" option, instead of staying on the quick reply.

    2: If your image is not already on the net somewhere and you want to attach it to 3dbuzz, then scroll down to the "Additional Options" at the bottom under where you write your post and under Attachments click on the "Manage Attachments" button. From there click on the "Add Files" button and make sure you are on the "Upload File From Your Computer" tab. From there click on the "Select Files" button and find your image on your hard drive. Click "Open" on the file or files you want, and then "Upload files." Make sure it is a valid file type, and also not insanely large.

    3: Once you have Uploaded your file, or files, they should either be in the part of your "File Upload Manager" that says "Home" or "Attachments." If they are just in your Home then click and drag them down to your Attachments section. At that point you can click on the "Insert Inline" button to make a link appear in your post.

    HOW TO INSERT YOUR IMAGE!

    4: You are not done yet. You do have a link to your image, and it will appear as a thumnail size image, but that is not what you want. I have given an example of this below;

    Click image for larger version.

Name:	buzzhomework_fire-insect.jpg
Views:	690
Size:	65.9 KB
ID:	74201

    Now what you want to do is to click on that link to your image (You will need to click on the "Preview Post" button first to be able to click on the link.) and then click again on the little popup image that comes up. This should open a new window in a new tab. Now this is what you need. Copy the address in the address bar for that window.

    5: Above your posting area are a bunch of clickable icons where you may find font, size, bold letters, etc. In the second of the three rows down, and four section over to the right is an icon that looks kind of like a picture in a frame. If you put your mouse over it, it will say "Insert Image." (As you might have guessed we are really close here now. ) After clicking on that icon a popup window will show up. There will be two tabs on that Insert Image window, the first will say "From Computer," we don't want that one. The second tab will say "From URL," and that is the one we want to use.

    6: Past that page address that you copied in step 4 into the URL bar.

    7: Don't forget this step! Under that bar is a check box followed by the words, "Retrieve Remote File And Reference Locally." You do NOT want that checked. So un-check that box and hit the "OK" button.

    8: Make sure it worked by hitting the "Preview Post" button before you hit the "Submit New Thread" button.

    That is all there is too it. You should be good to go if you followed all those steps.

    Here is what it should look like now.

    However, if all you want to do is replace a theme's stock image with one of your own, you simply make the image the same size as the image you want to replace, and replace it with your image that bears the same name as the image you are replacing.
