    Seriously, my jaw kept dropping lower and lower- I pray that they'll release a free UDK for us to play with

    Don't hold your breath on it coming soon ... but I think they will keep a similar system to UDK, it seems to have done them relatively well thus far.

    Anyone else notice it says, "UDK" at the top of the editor in the second video? That makes me happy.

    I think UDK has become an important tool for Epic as a way to get the engine in everyone's hands. They are going to want as many people as possible to be able to play with it as to potentially sell more licenses and educate people on how to use it. I doubt however that UE4 will be ready for a UDK like release in the near future. We all know how buggy UE3 still is after 7 years; imagine how bad UE4 is right now.
