Exclamation Biped hand snaps to original place when in 'Auto Key' mode?

I'm working with an Orc model that has previously been rigged using a biped.
    I've attached a screenshot.

I can move the biped freely with no problems, but when I activate 'Auto Key' mode, only the two biped parts for his left and right hand snap back to their original spot after being moved. I can move any other body part in auto key mode except for the two hands, and I don't understand why.

    I'm using 3ds max 2011.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!Click image for larger version.

Don't use the autokey use the set key

The Set Key options on the Key Info rollout have the advantage that you can easily experiment with different poses for your character without unintentionally setting keys as a side-effect. Use the Set Key buttons to commit the changes you make to the pose. The Auto Key mode approach is especially useful when you make adjustments to keyframes that have already been set, or if you are used to working with Auto Key in3ds Max and tend to forget to click the Set Key buttons.

Tip: Use Set Key to insert a key on a frame where a key doesn't exist. You'll often want to refine the motion using controls in the Key Info rollout, without selecting and moving an object in the viewport.

One more tip if you still have this problem then i would use the dope sheet and the CV editor

For some reason when I'm in Set Key mode, it doesn't set the key when I try to do it. This only happens when I open this particular scene that I downloaded.
