    Yay, we got some snow in Tennessee!! Ok, so I'm trying to decide between a few pictures on which one I want to officially submit. I'll post them just incase anyone wants to make a suggestion...but I'll make sure to re-post the one I choose for the contest before the 4th.

    I took a few today. As far as they go, I didn't think really about what wintertime meant to me.

    I used a Canon T2i with a 50mm f/1.8.

    The first one is the one I like the most.. I'll say it's my entry unless someone else feels differently.

    Second one, not as much.

    Third one, on the exact opposite of that lightpole in the last picture is a giant tree in my yard.. and a bird was under it. I wish I could have gotten it without bumping the iso up to 3200.

    Fourth, just a branch.

    I took this last photo on Christmas.. so I don't think it would be fair to use it. My mom also pleaded with me not to show it to anyone.. but damn, I love this 50mm 1.8 lens. She was laughing while talking to my aunt on skype.

    Yeah, the nifty-fifty is a fun lens to play with ^^ And that icicle looks like it could have killed someone when it fell.

    On another note, I really dislike that Canon has different names for their cameras, depending on whether you are in the US or elsewhere in the world.

    Jamianne, I think they'd all make great entries,. but the first one is my favorite. The red really breaks up the white snow.

    Clone, dude....I can't friggin' stand that! I mean seriously, what were they thinking? Nikon has some major issues with their model names, but at least they're consistent from country to country. They all start with D, and they all end with a number. Simple.

    @Jamianne__________your post #31

    Your third photo down is awesome !
    I love the explosion of snow-on-branches with the dark thick branch
    on lower right side that anchors your entire composition......
    ....( great visual structure ). This photo is a real prize winner !

    what winter is to me would probably be a picture of the Grinch

    I took this pic a few months ago here in Orlando, yes Orlando, it does get cold and has been. a water line broke on the coldest night we had so by morning a nice strip was all pretty with frozen plants and icicles so I took a few pics of it. I think this one might be the best out of them

    elevating to new levels of knowledge (that's the plan at least )
