    Photography contest Mark VII

    What are the rules?

    No photoshopping allowed, besides cropping and changing a picture to B&W or Sepia, and making panoramas.
    Post production editing is allowed. The editing done should be global, such as contrast, brightness, ar overal tonal balancing (i.e. no sponge/dodge/burn, no brushes, vignetting, etc). Filters are prohibited. Any global editing should be used only to enhance the features that were captured in the shot to begin with. The only exception is converting to B&W or sepia.

    You MUST post your original image. Failure to do so WILL result in you being disqualified!

    Tell a bit about your image, and how you approached taking it.

    What equipment do I need?

    Well, as long as it can capture light and produce an image you can share with others, be it a analog camera, digital camera or maybe a cellphone camera, you are good to go.

    How do we submit the pictures?

    Post the images in this thread. Makes it easier to keep things organised. One entry per user. However, it's ok to post more than one, as long as you make it CRYSTAL CLEAR which one is the one you want to be voted on. And max image width is 700-800 pixels, with link to higher res image if wanted.

    A poll will be created, and then everyone can vote on the images.

    The theme
    *EDIT*

    Now zoo animals are allowed!
    As decided by reflex, it is WILDLIFE!
    It's springtime, and all the little critters and annoyingly chipper birdies are coming out to play, so try to capture one of them on camera doing whatever. No pets. It has to be a creature in the wild.
    And no insects either. I want to see fur and/or feathers.

    DEADLINE
    The deadline will, as usual, be 3 weeks, meaning we end on May 1st

    If there are any questions, just ask here.

    Now let the photography commence!

    Would the break room count? I am really liking all of these contest lately. They bring out alot of creativeness.

    Yeah, I've carried around my camera too, but other than people walking their dogs, and a pigeon or two I haven't got any decent pics yet.

    I have a picture of a pigeon that looks like it was run over and scraped off the road and thrown onto the shoulder... but I'm not sure that counts as wild"life"

    Does a zoo count? It's not a pet but then its not totally wild either...

    If it does, I think this is my entry:

    If not, it's a tossup between these 2 right now:

    Weird... I tried running it in Maya and the result was

    // Error: if(butterflly is bird)
    //
    // Error: Invalid use of Maya object "butterflly". //
    Followed by a memory allocation error
