    How to Spawn with no weapon, UDK

    Does anyone know how to make it so you don't spawn with a weapon when you go to test your level using the "play from here" option. Or even any other way to spawn without a weapon, or only the gravity gun?

    For any one else looking for the exact setting go to:

    View>World Properties>World Info>WorldInfo>No Default Inventory

    and if u wanna spawn with only the gravgun. in kismet put a level startup node and attach it to a console command node. then type into the console command node "physicsgun"

    In UDK, this doesn't seem to work.
    I set the World Info property to No Default Inventory.
    I add a Console command to either Player Spawned or Level loaded and enter in the command node gravgun or "gravgun" and I still enter the game with no gravgun.

    Uhhh, that's because it is called the physicsgun as was stated in the previous post. There is no command named gravgun in Unreal.

    ok - got me there, I shouldn't have typed gravgun in the post, but I had typed physicsgun in the command node and it didn't work for me. So...
    [edit post: I got the April beta and the command node works now from Player Spawned. I dunno, so long as it works.]

    When I tick the no default inventory for player box in world properties I get 2 torch like objects following my player ... what the hell are they ???

    Can you specify no weapon using the command node??

    I know this is a super old thread but I found this to work just in case someone googles this thread up or something

    view->World Properties->Gametype

    and set Default Game Type to "none"
