Very nice entries gang! Sadly I was unable to enter this round as I drank my props and found myself wandering the streets of Algiers the following day, chained to a tiny, but very loud howler monkey... I just got back today after begging for passage on a merchant marine ship in exchange for work. Part of that last statement may be fictitious.

My vote went to Hrjansen's. Nice and mysterious.

And we are closed. And, according to Mr3d_PHD, the best man won

Now, what strange and wonderful thing will you make us take pictures of this time? And how much time? Seeing as christmas is coming, do you want to end this during the holidays, or after?

Yay, I came second lol, thanks to those who voted for me

I actually forgot about ther compo until I saw it up on the board till the last day. I didn't even look at the previous entries before I entered and posted my final image, so had no pre-conception of other idea's people used.

I am however rather curious to what the next photo contest will be based on.
As for the end date, well I'm happy if it's just 3 weeks from now. It's not going to make much difference whether it's after the holidays or during I don't think.

Okay, okay....so here's what my top three topic choices were:

    1) The Ares test rocket
    2) My cat, Maximus
    3) Holiday lights

It was a close one, but I decided on holiday lights since....uh...."the holidays" are here. Anyway, let me elaborate. This topic is not necesarily bound by Christmas lights on your house. "Holiday" can mean anything from Christmas to simply the winter season, and lights can mean any sort of unique lighting (artificial or natural). Here are examples:

So basically, if you aren't sure if your photo fits, just ask yourself 1) "is it holiday or winter related?" and 2) "is the lighting unique in some way?"

I think the contest should run for a month.

Some of us have a big problem with the winter part of this theme. All I'm saying is the holiday season is a bit different down here.
