Was too busy today. However, took this on the way home from work:

Adelaide CBD from the Northern parklands. Basically pulled over to the side of the road and snapped it. Was in a bit of a rush, didn't realise the ISO was at 800. I don't have a DSLR, and it is quite noisy at high ISOs, which is why it is grainier than I was expecting.

Still, this makes my urban entry.

I submit this as my weather picture. It's not extreme (or bad) weather like most of the entries, but there is always some kind of weather

Taken on the bus with a Canon 350D a year ago.

This competition did kick me in the butt, and got me out taking pictures yesterday.

    one minute before deadline...

Metanol...I LOVE your weather entry man! Such great contrast between the bright clouds and the dark mountains. That green hue and the fog...it's all so sureal. Never would have guessed it was taken from a moving bus.

Thanks guys! You can see the motion blur in the foreground, but luckily it's not too distracting. This is one of the few good photos I've taken on the road. I always underestimate that reflection in the window!

I guess the poll will come up soon. Exciting!

I hope the next contest will have a rule about having to take a new photo, so it's not about digging through your archives.
so, mr_charisma - kudos for taking a new photo

I would love to have it force everyone to take new photos, but I can guarantee you that making it a rule would cut the entries down to almost nothing. Not many people have the time to go out and take contest worthy photos on short notice, let alone ones that qualify into a specific category. Also, people are lazy, so out of the ones who do have time...only a portion of those will get off their asses and actually do it. It's sad, but true. =(
