    PHP CMS Tutorials?

I just wanted to start this thread to point out my interest in a certain someone making some certain tutorials about building a modular cms with php. Oh what's that MartinCo? You'll do it? Oh happy day!

Who else would like a modular cms to be built on camera? I think it's the best idea since...ever!

Please read MrC's post on How to ask a question

We need more information on what you want

    CMS = Content Management System

The Content it Manages dictates what the CMS is - naturally!

    1) MORE information
    2) WHAT do you want the CMS to do?
    3) WHAT layout plan?
    4) Is it just a How to Write PHP-Nuke from the ground up ?
    5) user controls ?

I was thinking something along the lines of maybe a portfolio/blog system. Maybe something like cgportfolio but with a proper blog which could be swapped with the a gallery as the main page.

The sections I'm thinking of are:

    Homepage
    -News Posts
    -Description/Misc Text Section
    -Links Section
-Swappable between portfolio/blogor maybe both or other custom content?
    (Something like wordpress?)

    News/Blog
    -Title
    -Description
    -News
    -Date

    Portfolio
    -Featured Work
    -Description
    -Thumbnails
    -Comments maybe?

    Manage News/Blog
    -New entry/article/portfolio submission
    -Edit Previous News

    Manage Portfolio
-Upload new images with title, description etc.
    -Change image priority
    -Hide/Unhide images in gallery
    -Edit image details and reupload

    Yeah MartinCo, show us!

If you want a hand, I was going to make some PHP tutes doing this sort of thing. Even asked Buzz about them. However, I'm lazy, don't have time, am full of excuses.

Ok - this could take some time

I'm going to have to look into it, design and what not and see where it goes, research into what works.

Give me a little while to look into this, this thread might be inactive as i take a look around etc - see where we go

Why not have Toastage design something similar to what he'd like to see and then you guys could chop it up and put it back together on camera 3DBuzz style?
