My very own Pong game :)

I was getting bored yesterday so I made this in Delphi. So what do you think?

PS: I posted this in a thread in the lounge initially, but I think more Delphi people will see it here.

Nice one Adryan, I think it's a great little game. It's not unnecessarily complicated, the ball floats behind the scores and it runs just fine in Linux with wine. Having it as small as delphi seems able to produce an exe is also a big plus. Me very much like.

Just two questions: Does it have sound? (I don't get any using wine), and is thee a score after which you win? (I was too lazy to play beyond about 5-0 or 5-1)

Thank you for your words, enhzflep.

Good idea, I completely forgot about adding sound. I'll post an update soon.

In order to win you have to reach the score of 11.

Simple but effective, the only comment I would make is to set a maximum speed to stop some issues that can occur if the ball appears too fast.

No, they are just objects getting their coordonates changed to simulate movement.

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually never got to a speed so great that it caused problems (someone always scored the point before), but you're right I should limit it just in case.

hell YEAH I can cheat with my mouse!!!!!!! just click in the field to grap the ball.
Now give your mouse a swing and let the ball go.

Sometimes the computer hits the ball back, that's the point where you have to be a pong-pro. :-)

good job, by the way. And in delphi........

http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=vYyQAOlmzYI Released at Evoke"07 ( demosceneParty ), a pong game on a handheld musicMix thingy. I was in the audience, and it was great !!!!

    yep, nice cheat there.

But Krimble2000, you seem surprised that it would be written in delphi, why?
