Question What is an exec file, and where do you put it in UT2003?

These are parameters the engine can take in order to affect certain things

EXEC= - tells the engine to execute an exec file

I want to see models, paticularly my models, in 3rd person view inside the game UT2003.

I believe I can convert this script in order to accomplish my goal:

do see your character in 3rd person..
    type
    behindview 1

I think they are talking about INI file... (except they are talking as if it was quake... :P)

you have to look for user.ini file
    you can make your own
    like doodicle.ini
    and use
    exec=doodicle.ini
    and I should load...

    Lightbulb

I figured out the commands to view your model in 3rd person view.

    Press "~"
    Type: GOD or PLAYERSONLY
    -so bots don't kill ya-
    Type: FREECAMERA 1
-can rotate around model using mouse-
    Type: SETCAMERADIST 3
-or any whole number. number determines distance from model-

I probably should make a EXEC command file so I don't have to do all this typing.

EXEC file is a command the operates xxxx.txt files found in the "system" folder of UT2003.

    "~" type: EXEC YOUR_MODEL_VIEWER.TXT

Just paste the GOD, FREECAMERA, SETCAMERADIST commands in a text file.
