    did you verify this through phpinfo();? I need to leave very soon and will not be able to continue helping you for about 3-4 hours...

    also if you could post what version of php, web server and os you are using...

    yes msn, but i will be away from my computer for about 3-4 hours. if you dont get it resolved by the time i get back i can message you.

    ** edit: as a side note, i ran the script on my server and it works fine so there is something else causing this issue.

    woho

    yes I did get it to work and it is fuxxed
    hard to get into detaile on what we did but it works
    I think it all boiles down to the fact that I was useing php 5 not 4
    all the coading is messed up when you get into 5 syntexes are totaly different

    sorry i could not give you too much more into

    As a follow up, he was not getting errors, he was getting notices… there is a difference. The script still worked it just appeared not to be working because it was throwing out the notices which look just like error messages except that they are listed as a notice:

    Notice: Use of undefined constant txt_name - assumed 'txt_name' in C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\guestbook.php on line 7
    Php gives a notice because this is a minor issue that it knows how to handle and not a code breaking issue.
