Man...this was a tough call, as usual, but I had to go with Skalawag with Mr_Smiley as a close second. Such a great photo Gabe...really well thought out and professional. I really am impressed. I'd love to see it after a bit of post production.

I went with skalawag's as well but thought they were all good. I laughed the first time I saw Mr_Smiley's but had thought about my method for "voting" and unfortunately it didn't work for his. However, I think they're all good representations of love. Obviously everyone understands it differently which is why it would be hard to judge them (IMO).

Looking forward to the next one and hopefully will be able to enter!

Thanks guys, glad you both liked it.

Funny thing about this photo is that after I finished taking the shots I decided to turn the light on and take another couple of pictures to see how it would look, and boy did it make a difference. The lamp glowed warmly, casting a nice gold hue on the ceiling and the shadow around the rice paper window shade took on a nice translucent blue color.
Of course, by then I had moved the furniture back and the model was done.

The lesson here? Compose the shot before you even put the camera up to your eye. I was too busy worrying about focus and f-stops and shutter speeds to notice that nice little detail.

Finally found a computer that will let me log in to 3dbuzz.

Eep it's getting close, looks like people are starting to go for substance over mugs (where are the tea drinkers on this forum, oh well). I really like your pic Skalawag but I'm a sucker for grainy film and over exposure so my vote went to Mincher.
