Underwater Creature - Fangtooth

Hey,

so here's a quick rough-in of my lovely little fish.
The species is called Fangtooth and I wouldn't get too close to them if I were you

Alright, back to work. Soooooo much left to do on this guy.

-Chris

Here's a recent version, mostly edge flow corrections. Still just the rough shapes.

Lookin good, do you have plans to texture it too? Make sure when you do the lighting that you make it so it looks like it's being lit by a really bright light like the submersibles have. I am sure you already thought about it but just my .02

Yes, that guy is going to be textured and put in a scene. I haven't thought about the lighting yet but I'll check out some underwater photos to get the right mood.

The application is XSI. But he's going to be put through ZBrush, I'm now waiting for a Wacom I ordered yestered..

That's looking awesome. Hey I did some quick research on the Fangtooth the other day. To my amazement I found out that these fish only grow to like a maximum length of 6 inches. I just thought that would be some helpful information for you when you scale it to your scene if your gonna be adding anything else.

Here's a quick render of two of the fish in a rough environment. No displacement and low quality bump map on the fish for speed reasons.

Next up, I'm going to finish the fish models, do some surrounding geometry and texture it all up.
