i have a tendency for being stupid..so here goes... will this allow me to make better looking maps to play in UT3 .. lighting ect ??? or "just" to create a brand new game ???

Cant wait for the VTMs
though re-recording 13 hours :O ouch, btw would love to know about the texture export to file thing, seems to be going wrong on my verson of the UDK and U3E

OK I download loaded the UDK and it took ages to download too( 6 mins
). I took a quick look at the editor after installing it. My first reactions were "Wow this is cool". Then I cryed because I saw what DM-Deck(you know the one) looked like with the new lighting. The I said out loud, I cant repeat here but there something like "Gosh now doesnt that look good".I have to say that the lighting system look amazing it really does. I always thought that UT3 just looked pretty but then with this lighting it looks 1000% better! Man that blew my socks off! I want 2 things now:- 1 A big update to UT3 so we can see the new lighting in game. 2 I am SO looking forwards to the new VTMs that Buzz is doing. Lastly I would like to thank you Buzz for taking the time out to make these new VTMs .

Great UDK is now free to download... probably not Epic's primary intention but because everyone else is doing it...
I'll stick with Source. |

I'm really excited for the UDK video series!! I watched the videos you produced for the UT3 Bonus Disk and they were the best explanation of how to use the Editor I could find. I really hope you are planning to go a little further though and show how to build a stand-alone game using the tools available. Start from scratch, import some assets, build a level, program some custom functionality and deploy to a package that could be distributed.

did some deconstruction of the tools and played around with it. this is the Gears 2 editor people have been crying about lol
so far i have got crowds to work and i kinda understand how it works. i played around with the realistic water actor thing too, im super impressed i think im gonna move from UT3 to UDK for good now lmaooooo |
