If I buy the C# XNA V1...

Do I get immediate access to any of it?

Meaning, I know it is on a DVD, but if I order it, while waiting, do I have access to videos through the site or for download until I get the DVD?

I am a TOTAL idiot to programming - I want to learn, and I have tried for over 5 years and retained nothing. You were the people who taught me 3ds max/gmax, so I feel like perhaps you guys are worth it with this, I love the training style and how Busby acts like a noob to make us all feel better :P

Will this help me as a complete and utter noob? I want to learn more than games, actually, I think I want to learn applications first, then games, but will this help me? I'm looking for the fast track to understanding, and I've seen every free video out there by now - are these a purchase I will be glad I made?

Also, is there an affiliate program?

I believe it's a manual process, but you can access the first project (Hyperion Text adventure)for free.

The question is not if you get immediate access or not. What you are asking is whether 3DBuzz provide immediate service -- allow me to tell you that they provide great service.y

What the XNA Volume 1 would do is put you on a seat and make you program a project right away in C#. It will be long and very repetetive (that is at your end), until you hit your first challenges.

If you complete your challenges accordingly -- if you follow the videos by law, and meaning when they tell you practice, you practice, rewind, you rewind, code, you definitely code. If you do all that, you will feel at ease with first hand programming.

But what you truly need is to not only purchase the first volume, but all of them. Then you need to go beyond what is demonstrated. Meaning you have to put tremendous effort into expanding functionality.

So get to work!

PS: I am definitely sure it is not a manual process and it will work right away -- I am so not sure though.

Sincerely,

Mossa Nova

Well, I was planning on moving to volume's 2 and 3 next of course :P

Sounds good, I *think* I will make the purchase soon. $49.95 is a bit steep for ME right now, but you can't put a price on education, and convenience in that information.

I will be asking questions about C# itself in no time

Thanks for your responses, I feel confidence in the product, however, do you think the C++ course is a better idea, or is C# better for a total beginner such as myself? The Python courses perhaps? (I have a great interest in Blender and its game engine, worth it to start there, or good to dive right into C# or C++, of the three, where should I Start?)

Any programming education is a good start. The principles are valid in most languages and changes miniscule in most cases.

Personally i like C# because its really easy to work with. Havent used C++ that much, but would think that starting with C# might be a good idea and then moving on to C++ at a later time
