Houdini- Tech Effects- Particle Wave
Stepping through the class, following the recipe's (as well as trying to figure out alternate solutions), I've run into an error I can't seem to get around yet...
Particle Wave, part 1, 24mins in. Adding the expression: Code:
`strcat("selGrp_", stamp("..","FOREACH",""))`
I keep erroring out with the following error: Code:
Error: Bad data type for function or operation (group) Any ideas? Thanks. BTW... great set of lessona. I've watched them through once.. Now I'm doing them as lessons. Cheers, -quinn |

I don't have the video, but are you sure they aren't using the stamps() function as opposed to stamp(). Generally stamps() is used for stamping "string" values, which it looks like you may be doing here.

Yeah, what Tomoku said
.This change came through around 9.1 to 9.5 I think, the datatypes just got a bit more strict.
