OK well obviously there's some interest, which is cool!
Next question, Rico this might be one for you, what's the best way to actually publish these? Are videos preferred over text? If so, anyone have a setup they particularly like? How do you record the screen shots? What about voice? |

I've recorded mine using iShowU for mac. It captures your desktop, voice and camera if you have one. When you click on something a ring appears around the mouse cursor and if you hit a key on your keyboard it will who on the the screen. This is great for those who want to know what keys you're using. Also, make sure you record in HD (now that you can upload hd videos on youtube). If you want a more in-depth explanation pm me and i will make you a video so you know how I've done it.
ps.s you can record 1280x720 for high def and up to 10 minutes (or 1gb) on youtube.

Rico, thanks for the info - I'll take a look at this, though I'd prefer to do this under win64. I have OSX 10.5, so maybe I'll give this a whirl.
Anyone else have any similar suggestions for windows? |

I found a couple of free ones.
Free Screen Recorder: http://www.nbxsoft.com/screen-recorder.php I haven't tried this but it looks promising. And CamStudio: http://camstudio.org/ I tried this but ended up with huge files because it recorded the audio uncompressed. Apparently you can change the compression beforehand. |
