Text behind animated object?

I'm hoping someone will read this...

Is there a way to place text behind an animated object? The animated object was done in 3DS max.

There is. Place your animated object video (it is rendered out into video or img sequence, right?) layer above text layer created in combustion. But in order to work more properly you must render from 3dsmax in a format that supports alpha channels. Like img sequence in such formats as tiff, png.
